Japan Information NetworkSponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, the Japan Information Network (JIN) is a group of websites introducing the society, culture, and other aspects of Japan and provides answers to practically all your questions about the country. An amazing site. J GuideThe J Guide, as an ongoing project of the Stanford University US-Japan Technology Management Center, is a meta guide of Internet resources on Japan. The Business and Economy section includes more than 150 links. I also liked the "Reference" and "Search Engines and Guides" sections.Excellent site which is an essential starting point for finding information on Japan. Japan External Trade OrganizationThe Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) offers wide-ranging support for importing in Japan and operates Business Support Centers (BSCs) in major cities to provide, on a free and temporary basis, office space and other support, including consultants to advise on how to enter the Japanese market. Very interesting and useful site. Do not miss the Japanase Market Reports and in the Research section the state of the Japanese economy and the white papers on international trade and foreign investment. Ministry of International TradeThis is the official site of MITI the Ministry of International Trade and Industry. Essential for understanding government policies.Do not miss the publications, the summary of economic trends and the current topics, A very good site. Ministry of Foreign AffairsApart from Japan's foreign policy on economic affairs, this site is quite useful for understanding Japan's relations with countries and regions of the world. Economic Planning Agency of JapanA rather arid site but very useful for understanding the institutional and policy structure for economic planning in Japan. Unfortunately quite a number of documents are outdated (1995). |
