Latin American Network Information Center (LANIC)The objective of LANIC is to provide Latin American users with access to academic databases and information services throughout the Internet world, and to provide Latin Americanists around the world with access to information on and from Latin America. An exceptional resource housed by the University of Texas. La Guia NuevaThis guide, Internet Resources for Latin America: La Guia Nueva, provides access to many sites with brief descriptions of the content and quality of the information. It is also a guide to electronic mail lists, newsgroups, databases and reference tools, online news, organizations, and general resources. An excellent guide which can also be printed. Foro PYME - Forum PMEThe Inter-American Development bank (IDB) and the Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF) have launched the SME Forum as part of the Regional Management Training Project, and as an interactive site for the exchange of information on the small- and medium-enterprise sector in Latin America. I particularly liked the Conference, Case Studies and Links sections. Sistema de Información para el Desarrollo MicroempresarialThe objective of the "Central America Micro Enterprise Information System" is to provide relevant information to organizations and associations involved in micro and small enterprise development in the region. Setup by COCEMI (Central Coordinating Committe of Microentrepreneurs in Central America) it also aims to provide a political lobbying platform for the sector. Quite unique and very much representative of the importance of the microenterprise sector in Latin America.
